Yogendra Kumar Modi
Yogendra Kumar Modi is a promoter and Director of Y K M Holdings International Limited. He is the son of Kedar Nath Modi, step-brother of R B Gujarmal Modi. R B Gujarmal Modi is the person who was the pioneer behind the Modi Group conglomerate after he established a sugar mill in the year 1933. Lalit Modi who established the Indian Premier League (IPL) in India is the grandson of R B Gujarmal Modi.
A highly acclaimed industrialist and philanthropist, Y K Modi has been involved in various successful projects over the years related to different industry segments such as industrial chemicals, textiles, cement, electronics and auto components. Y. K. Modi is also a member of the Dean’s Council at J. F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University, USA. A well-known industry spokesperson of India, he has also held office in various national level business bodies.
He was also appointed as FICCI’s (Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry) President on October 18, 2003. FICCI, an association of business organisations in the country has indirect membership of over 2,500,000 companies from various regional chambers of commerce.
He was appointed to the board of ICC (International Chamber of Commerce) in 1992 after serving as a member of the Executive Committee and Standing Advisory Committee of ICC.
The YKM Holdings International Limited holding investments on behalf of the Y K Modi family was established by Yogendra Kumar Modi.
Prashant Modi
Prashant Modi is one of the Directors of Y K M Holdings International Limited. On top of that, he also serves as the MD (Managing Director) and CEO (Chief Executive Officer) of GEECL (Great Eastern Energy Corporation Limited).
Apart from his responsibilities as a Director towards Y K M Holdings International Limited, Prashant Modi has the added responsibility to look into the operations of GEECL and ensure that the business stays in the path of progress.
Prashant Modi completed his management degree from Boston University and was the key person who ensured that GEECL was listed at the London Stock Exchange (LSE). He is a member of different well-known national and international bodies like World Economic Forum, Global Growth Companies Advisory Board, Environment Task Force Committee, FICCI, Task Force of Energy, ICC, Commission on Environment and Energy, International Chamber of Commerce, Paris (ICC) and others.Prior to being a part of GEECL and Y K M Holdings International Limited, Prashant Modi worked with two world renowned companies for a year which includes Qualcomm Inc., San Diego, United States and ANZ Bank, London.
